Real-time data

Space Weather Timeline Viewer: Solar wind ACE/DSCOVR, GOES, ground-based magnetometers

If the KNMI HAPI server does not provide real-time data, NOAA/SWPC offers an alternative (the original): swpc.noaa.gov/products/real-time-solar-wind

  • GOES X-Ray Flux (X-rays, flares – thick line is boundary between C- and M-class)
  • GOES Proton Flux (radiation storm, high energy suprathermal protons)
  • ACE EPAM (low-energy suprathermal protons)
  • ACE/DSCOVR magnetometer: Phi (degrees) – orientation towards (-) / away from (+) the sun
  • ACE/DSCOVR magnetometer: IMF Btotal, Bz: orange, By: blue (nT, GSM)
  • ACE/DSCOVR Solar wind: V – plasma velocity (km/s)
  • ACE/DSCOVR Solar wind: N – plasma density (p/cm3)
  • ACE/DSCOVR Solar wind: T – plasma temperature (K)
  • Ground-based magnetometers: DST index (Disturbance Storm Time)
  • Ground-based magnetometers: Hp30 index (improved Kp index)
  • Ground-based magnetometers: INTERMAGNET Northern Europe
    • 68°N, Aurora zone – Abisko, SE, horizontal field
    • 68°N, Aurora zone – Sodankyla, FI, horizontal field
    • 64°N, Sub-auroral zone – Uppsala, SE, X-component
    • 60°N, Mid-latitudes – Lycksele, SE, X-component
    • 60°N, Mid-latitudes – Nurmijarvi, FI, horizontal field
